Renewables

PEDC has reached an important milestone in its strategic goal of becoming a key player in Iran's renewable energy sector by successfully launching its first solar energy project in Damghan. Located in central Iran, this project has a capacity to generate 10 MW of clean energy and became operational in the winter of 2023. The power plant is also the first to be equipped with bifacial solar panels and solar trackers, making it 30% more efficient than power plants with single-sided, fixed panels. Record Production at Damghan Solar Plant

In line with our unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable energy production, we are actively planning to enhance our technological competitiveness and expand our investments in solar power plants, both domestically and internationally. As part of this strategy, we have initiated new investments in advanced solar technologies and the development of new solar power plants:

  • Sorkheh Solar Power Plant with capacity of 12 MW and investment of 7 million dollars.
  • Mehdishar Solar Power Plant with capacity of 12 MW and investment of 7 million dollars.
  • Pasargad Energy Group won the tender for investing in the construction and operation of 1,500 MW of solar power plants, distributed across 24 plants in 12 provinces. This capacity surpasses the total renewable energy capacity developed in Iran to date, making it the largest renewable energy contract in the country. The investment amounts to $1 billion, with 25% financed by Pasargad Energy Group and 75% by the National Development Fund. Investment Plan 1500 MW

Undoubtedly, through the implementation of these expansion plans, our primary goal is to strengthen our position in the renewable energy sector as well as make significant contributions to building a sustainable future.
