Production from 1st well under EPCD contracts starts in Siahmakan Oilfield
Oil production from well No. 7 in Siahmakan Oilfield started on Monday, February 17, 2025. The construction of flow lines and installation of wellhead equipment as well as well flowing, well testing, well acidizing, and coiled tubing started and production from the well No. 7 in Siahmakan Oilfield began on February 17, 2025 as the complex drilling of three development and appraisal wells was completed in the field.
The well is estimated to have a production rate of 1500 barrels per day (bpd) and a flow pressure of 1200 pounds per square inch (psi). The oil output from the well will be transferred to Bibi Hakimeh Oilfield via a pipeline, with 6 inches indiameter and 3 kilometers in length, and then linking to the existing pipeline.
It is worth noting that hot tapping of flow lines to the existing pipeline in Siahmakan Oilfield has already been completed successfully.
The development plan of Siahmakan Oilfield includes drilling, completing, flowing and acidizing of three Bangestan wells (Siahmakan wells No. 6, 7, and 8) to an approximate depth of 5,000 meters as well as construction of a separator and apressure booster, with a daily capacity of 10,000, and construction of over 12 kilometers of flow lines.
The plan is among the projects aiming at output preservation and enhancement that was assigned to Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) and carried out byPezhvak Energy Engineering Services Company (PECO) successfully under the plan operated by National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) to develop 28reservoirs.
The PECO has managed to save time to drill each well and set a record for fastest drillingamong the wells drilled in the field.
It should be noted that flowing and testing of two other wells will be finalized within afew weeks.
