The repairing operation and installation of a sucker rod pump (SRP) were carried out successfully in the Jofeir Well 3, as the second repaired well, in a bid to boost production and improve productivity in Sepehr and Jofeir oilfields.

The experts and engineers at Pasargad Exploration, Development and Production Company have managed to design an appropriate lift system for one of the field’s old wells, normal productivity of which declined to 200 barrels per day.

The well’s repair operation and installation of a sucker rod pump (SRP) were carried out under a contract with Pezhvak Energy Engineering Services (PECO) within a month to equip the well with the artificial lift system, based on a 72-hour performance test, in order to increase production from the Jofeir Well 3 by three fold.
It is worth mentioning that Sepehr and Jofeir oilfields, as significant oilfields being developed in Iran, plays a key role in increasing oil output and implementation of an appropriate artificial lift system in the field will affect oil production increase directly.

A remarkable increase in oil production from the well, optimizing oil recovery, reducing operating costs, and increasing the well’s recovery efficiency are the benefits of the installation of an SRP in Jofeir Well 3.
The technique could be used for other wells in Sepehr and Jofeir oilfields, along with other methods of the lift system, to increase production and improve productivity if it works successfully.
