Dr. Ahmad Mohammadi, CEO of Pasargad Exploration, Development, and Production Company, discussed the significance of scientific research in the development of the Sepehr and Jofeir oil fields during a ceremony marking Research Week at Sharif University of Technology.

He explained that by utilizing scientific methods, local expertise, and precise engineering designs, production from these fields has reached 50,000 barrels per day.

Dr. Mohammadi added that new data from drilled wells indicates a high potential for the field and that maximum production is expected to be achieved ahead of the previously agreed timeline.

In another part of his speech, he referred to the Networked Pore Modeling (PNM) technique, stating that this advanced method can significantly aid in understanding production mechanisms and enhancing extraction from hydrocarbon reservoirs, particularly in fractured carbonate formations.

He emphasized the necessity of strengthening the collaboration between industry and academia, noting that the company’s research partnerships with universities are essential for the development of the Sepehr and Jofeir fields.

Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of digitization and advanced technologies in improving productivity and recovery rates in the oil industry.

This speech, which received positive feedback from specialists and researchers, was a key part of the scientific activities taking place during Research Week.
