The production capacity of the Dar Khoyn oil field has been increased by over 9,000 barrels per day following the completion of well number 11 by Pejvak Energy.
According to a statement from Pejvak Energy's public relations, since the commencement of the project to repair and drill four wells in the Dar Khoyn field under an EPCDS contract with Arvand Oil and Gas Company, two production wells and one injection well have been successfully launched, playing a significant role in enhancing the production capacity of the field. Well number 11 is the third well to be successfully completed in this phase, involving the removal of the old completion string, opening a window at an approximate depth of 4,116 meters, drilling a bypass hole, and making it productive in the Fahliyan Reservoir (Layer 3) in November 2023.
With the completion of these operations, the overall production from this field has been increased by 9,000 barrels per day. Notably, this well had been shut down since May 2018 due to high water production and had been removed from production. Well number 11 is the third in the set of four wells being repaired and completed, and it has been handed over to the esteemed project client following drilling and completion operations under the EPCDS contract. The Dar Khoyn oil field is located 45 kilometers north of Khorramshahr and 85 kilometers south and southwest of Ahvaz.
