The Taban Energy Pasargad solar power plant in Damghan claimed the top spot in energy production among solar power plants, by generating 2510 megawatt hours of energy in the month of Khordad this year.
According to the public relations office of the Pasargad Energy Group, citing the Ministry of Energy's information portal, solar power plants across the country have produced over 415 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from the beginning of the year, reflecting a 9.1% growth in energy production compared to the same period last year.
Among these, the shining solar power plants of Pasargad Damghan, Avaye Fahraj Yazd, Ghadir Mehriz Yazd, Ghadir Isfahan, and Ghadir Qom, each with an installed capacity of 10 megawatts and equipped with solar tracking systems and double-sided panels, have had the largest share of energy production, averaging 2200 megawatt-hours monthly, among the country's solar power plants.
It is worth noting that advancing in the creation and utilization of renewable energies can safeguard a country's industrial and economic infrastructure against sudden crises, preventing the halt of progress and development. Solar energy is one of those opportunities that countries with warm and dry geographical conditions, receiving acceptable and abundant sunlight, can utilize to meet the electricity needs of many important centers and organizations.
According to this report, the trend of installing and commissioning solar power plants in various parts of the country has accelerated, reaching an installed capacity of over 700 megawatts currently.
