Pasargad Energy Group Hosts Educational Tour for Sharif University Students at Sepehr and Jufair Oil Field

TEHRAN (PEDC) - In line with its social responsibility initiatives, Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC) organized a scientific tour for a group of students from Sharif University of Technology to visit the Sepher and Jofeir oil fields.
According to the public relations office of PEDC, the two-day visit took place on the 30th and 31st of Ordibehesht (May) in Khuzestan province. Students from bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in petroleum engineering at Sharif University explored drilling operations at Sepher-11, a producing well at Sepher-7, and surface facilities. Engineers and specialists from PEDC provided explanations about the oil field development process.
During the visit, a specialized session on petroleum engineering and reservoirs covered topics such as field status, initial information, development strategies, and challenges in the first phase.
In addition to technical aspects, students learned about PEDC’s sustainability efforts and social responsibility initiatives. These included safety, health, environmental considerations, and the establishment of the Pasargad School in the vicinity of the Sepher and Jofeir oil fields.
PEDC remains committed to its social responsibilities by organizing specialized internship programs for outstanding graduates and recruiting young university talent.
The company also aims to strengthen the connection between academia and industry, having previously conducted multiple scientific tours for students, including visits to the Sepher and Jofeir oil fields, as well as projects on Qeshm Island and solar power plants.
