Tehran University – Pezhvak Energy Company

 Collaboration Topic:

Research services on the causes of differences in drilling time for oil wells under similar structural conditions in Iran and Iraq.
Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC), in collaboration with Pezhvak Energy Company (a PEDC subsidiary), has entered into a contract and collaboration with the University of Tehran to thoroughly investigate the causes of discrepancies in the drilling times of wells in the Iran-Iraq shared fields.
In the first phase of the project, data related to Iran has been provided to the counterpart and is currently under review. In the next phase, data analysis, identification of problems, and the reasons for discrepancies will take place, enabling a comparison and providing practical results.

Petroleum Engineering Research Institute – Pezhvak Energy Company

Collaboration Topic:
Evaluation of completion fluid quality in well completion operations (calcium bromide) and its comparison with technical standards in the oil industry.

Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC), in collaboration with Pezhvak Energy Company (a PEDC subsidiary), has partnered with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry to improve the quality of drilling projects and conduct standard testing of drilling fluid samples. Through these collaborations, the evaluation of calcium bromide completion fluid and the possibility of mixing it with similar salts has resulted in cost savings, increased efficiency, and enhanced quality in drilling projects.

Research Institute of Petroleum Industry - Pezhvak Energy Company
Collaboration Topic:
Reservoir Fluid Properties Testing Services, Interpretation and Study of Laboratory Results / Project for Repair and Completion of Four Wells in the Darkhovin Oil Field

Examining reservoir fluid properties and understanding how they behave and change under various conditions is a fundamental requirement for studies of any oil field. These studies should be conducted periodically as time passes and reservoir conditions change. Accurate knowledge of reservoir fluid characteristics not only contributes to optimal reservoir production but also prevents potential production problems such as asphaltene and wax deposition.
In this regard, Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC), in collaboration with Pezhvak Energy Company (a PEDC subsidiary), has signed a contract with the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry. Under this agreement, fluid samples taken from reservoir conditions (bottom of the well) are subjected to a comprehensive analysis. These analyses, in addition to preliminary PVT studies, include supplementary evaluations such as the examination of asphaltene content in oil and its behavior.

Shiraz University – ESTD
Collaboration Topic: Black Oil Retina Simulator

Pasargad Energy Development Company (PEDC), in collaboration with Engineering Support Technology Development Company (ESTD; a PEDC subsidiary), has signed a contract with Shiraz University. This contract, requested by the National Iranian Oil Company as the project employer, resulted in the exclusive production and supply of the permanent license for the RETINA Black Oil Simulator software, along with the necessary hardware and software support, by ESTD Company.
This software is the first RETINA simulator for oil and gas reservoirs in the country, aimed at optimizing and enhancing the study and exploitation processes of the Mansouri field. The RETINA Black Oil Simulator is currently the first and only Iranian software of its kind in the country and is registered in the Ministry of Petroleum's AVL list. No other Iranian alternatives exist. Any alternative software must either be purchased from abroad or used with a cracked version, which will not provide the required performance.
