Successful Conclusion of Digitalization Course in the Oil and Gas Industry at Pasargad Energy Group

The “Applied Digitalization in the Oil and Gas Industry” course, hosted by Pasargad Energy Group in collaboration with the Sharif University of Technology’s Research Institute of Energy, Water, and Environmental Sciences, successfully concluded on September 19 after eight weekly sessions.

This course focused on the impact of digital technologies on the transformation of the oil and gas industry, exploring key topics such as digital technologies and their applications, digital twins, predictive maintenance, equipment lifetime estimation, creativity and innovation in digitalization, big data analytics, and automation across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.

Spanning a total of 64 hours, the course was instructed by Dr. Mohammad Baqer Ghaznavi Ghoshchi and Dr. Ali Shaker, along with a teaching team comprising Melika Bahmanabadi, Mohammad Iman Hosseinia, and Reza Malmir. The program recorded a total of 2,560 training hours and achieved an effectiveness rating of 88.8% based on participant feedback.

Participants included professionals from various sectors of the industry, such as reservoir studies, artificial intelligence, data analysis, drilling, and production, as well as university students specializing in disciplines like petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, and chemical engineering. They engaged in discussions and practical exercises focused on digitalization technologies.

Graduates of this course now possess enhanced capabilities to lead and support digital transformation projects within their organizations, promoting improved operational efficiency and sustainability.

Looking ahead, Pasargad Energy Group is set to offer additional courses and programs aimed at promoting digital transformation within the oil and gas industry.
