Fire in Qeshm Old Market Controlled After 14-Hour Struggle

The head of the Qeshm Fire Department and Safety Services reported that firefighters successfully contained a blaze at Passage No. 1 (Madani) in the Old Market of Qeshm after 14 hours of relentless effort.

Najm al-Din Fariduni announced that the firefighting operation concluded on Wednesday, after 14 hours of continuous work at the Madani Passage, which was the epicenter of the fire, as well as at several shops in the Salehi Passage at the same market. The fire was successfully contained, preventing its spread to other shops within the passage and the surrounding area.

He expressed gratitude to all agencies and organizations, particularly Pars Behin Qeshm Oil Refining Company and Qeshm Mold, affiliated with the Pasargad Energy Group, along with other organizations that mobilized fire trucks and operational personnel to assist in this incident.

It is noteworthy that the Old Market of Qeshm caught fire at 4:30 AM on Wednesday. Immediately, two fire teams from the refinery (consisting of 8 members) and one team from Qeshm Mold (3 members) were dispatched to the scene with a fire truck, promptly beginning firefighting operations from one side of the market.

In this operation, firefighters from the Pasargad Heavy Oil Refinery and Qeshm Mold worked effectively alongside other firefighters from the island, reinforcing the Pasargad Energy Group's commitment to social responsibility. They stood in solidarity with the esteemed residents of Qeshm Island, providing significant and effective support.
